MARK DONAGHY - GUITAR and VOCALS

 Mark was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and moved to Canada at age 10. He started playing guitar when he was 13. It was the ‘80s and Mark was fired-up by Hard Rock and Metal bands like “Motley Crue,” “Def Leppard,” and “Iron Maiden.” He played his guitar every day, and within a few years, started a band, “Delusions of Reality,” with some high school buddies in Calgary. It was the early ‘90s, and their sound was inspired by groups like “Jane’s Addiction” and “Alice in Chains.” Their dream was to get signed and make it big! They recorded and released two well received EPs of original music, and played as many gigs as they could. They even appeared at a festival on the same bill as “The Ramones!” Well, they didn’t become  Rock stars, but Mark remained committed to playing music. Over the last 30 plus years, Mark has continued to perform with many different groups. Some of the highlights include playing original Reggae music with “Aktivate” in the early 2000s, playing Rock hits in and around the pubs and clubs of Halifax, Nova Scotia with “Under The Sun,” and more recently, taking on the role of Lindsey Buckingham in “Mac Daddy, The Fleetwood Mac Experience.” At his core Mark just wants to rock out and get funky! He loves performing live and connecting with other people who are passionate about music.
